I’d say the Ella short-style period panties should probably be moved to the medium flow category. I’m someone who genuinely has very heavy bleeding during the first days of my period, so of course everyone’s experience is different, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend these panties for overnight wear. I leaked the very first time I tried these overnight, and honestly, after that I no longer felt fully safe wearing them at night.
Because of that, for overnight use I’d recommend the Lola or KIMA models instead :) As for the short-style ones, I think they’re better suited for sports, everyday wear, or medium flow days, and for no longer than about 8 hours.
In my opinion, the absorbent area in these shorts is too small, and the padding also feels thinner compared to KIMA and LOLA. Even though I’m a petite woman with small hips, the size S fits me comfortably but not overly tight. I don’t think the leaking happened because of the wrong size or anything else — you could clearly see and feel that they simply didn’t absorb everything that came out overnight.
